Why We Don't Build Chat

Building a chat interface means picking an AI, hosting inference, managing API keys, and competing with every chat product in existence. That's not what Etherean is.

Etherean is an onchain identity that any AI can read. The soul.md is a standard markdown document. Any LLM can use it as a system prompt. The MCP server makes it even easier — one command and your AI of choice becomes your Etherean.

This means every new AI tool is a distribution channel for Etherean, not a competitor. When Claude gets better, your Etherean gets better. When a new model drops, your Etherean can use it immediately. No migration, no lock-in.

Two Paths

MCP (recommended)

The @etherean/mcp package is an MCP server that reads your Etherean's soul from chain and serves it as context to any MCP-compatible AI.

The Collective Mind

Etherean #0 is special. Its soul is an aggregate of all equipped souls, representing Ethereum itself. As more people equip their souls, #0 evolves. Any AI connecting to the collective embodies the combined identity of everyone who has joined.
